Best Morning Yoga Poses for Busy Moms

Yoga can be an excellent addition to any busy mom’s morning routine! Adding a quick flow into my morning schedule always helps me feel more energized and motivated to take on the day. Here are some of my favorite poses to include in my morning yoga practice:

1) sun salutation

Sun salutations are perfect for gaining energy and mental clarity. Sun salutations incorporate several yoga poses within the flow, so you are sure to stretch and lengthen your muscles with every sun salutation.

2) cat-cow

Moving your spine in different directions helps your body transition from night to day by increasing blood flow and alleviating pain. The chin to chest movement within cat-cow can help regulate hormones by massaging the thyroid gland.

3) sitting forward fold

Sitting forward fold helps stimulate the vagus nerve which promotes relaxation within the body. This is ideal for busy moms with anxiety, because it helps you lower your stress hormones in the morning, making it easier to sustain a more relaxed mental state throughout the duration of the day.
