We LOVE holistic, natural beauty tips, especially when they are cheap, easy to complete, and beneficial to our preexisting health + beauty routine (Or lack thereof, no judgement here)!

Incorporating a beauty routine into your life as a mother can be draining (and expensive), so we wanted to make it as easy and affordable as possible for busy, tired, stressed out moms to feel confident and attractive, without breaking the bank!

Here our are TOP 2 favorite all-natural beauty hacks + why every busy mom should incorporate these 2 beauty regimens into their daily or weekly routines.

1) Oil Pulling with Coconut Oil for BRIGHT, WHITE, HEALTHY teeth and gums

Oil pulling involves taking 1 tablespoon of organic, unrefined, extra virgin coconut oil and placing it into your mouth. You then swoosh the coconut oil in your mouth vigorously for about 5 minutes. Once the five minutes is completed, spit out the coconut oil in your sink or shower (we recommend using your shower to avoid clogging the drain in your sink) and brush your teeth + rinse out your mouth with water.

Oil pulling works wonders on your teeth and gums. Ideally, you’d want to oil pull every morning, before you eat breakfast.

After about one week of consistent use, you may notice whiter, brighter, teeth with less stains. If you are a mom who survives off coffee and caffeinated beverages, this holistic beauty hack is for you!

Coconut oil is also fairly cheap and can be found at many local grocery stores, making it as easily accessible and quick beauty hack for most busy moms!

2) Lemon Baths for BRIGHTER, SHINIER, HIGHLIGHTED HAIR

If you are trying to achieve a naturally lighter hair color prior to the summer months, but don’t want to dish out hundreds of dollars at the hair salon, then you seriously need to try this holistic beauty hack.

The best part about this hack is how easy it is to complete. All you do is run a hot bath then add 1 freshly cut lemon + 1 cup of epsom salt + 1 tablespoon of coconut oil into the bath.

When you’re ready, soak for as long as you’d like. Be sure to get your hair wet and squeeze some lemon juice directly into your hair as lemons act as natural hair lighteners! Remember to enjoy this moment of peace and quiet, even if you only have 10 to 15 minutes of break time.

Once you get out of the bath, add some of your favorite conditioner to your hair and let it dry naturally. You can rinse out your hair the next day if you have thick hair, or you can rinse the lemon juice out the same day if you have very brittle hair and are concerned about leaving the lemon juice in too long.

We love teaching moms this holistic beauty hack because it encourages busy moms to take a moment to indulge in some self care, even if it is just for a few moments. The ingredients needed are also cheap and found at many local grocery stores. Let’s be real, you don’t need to purchase an expensive, chemically filled hair lightening product in an effort to feel more confident (although, if that makes you happy, go for it).
